This site was acquired in August 2017.  It is located on the south side of Macaulay Rd, 200m from the Kensington train station and village, only 3.5km from the CBD.  The site is serviced by two existing rail lines and is within walking distance of the Newmarket village on Racecourse Rd.  The area has been undergoing significant change and is subject to a recent rezoning as part of the Arden Macaulay Structure Plan.  The Metro tunnel’s North Melbourne station which will be located only 1km from the site, will further enhance the area’s growth and appeal.   The site allows a maximum of 8 levels subject to good design. The permit application has been submitted for 41 apartments including three townhouses and 2 retail shops.
